Welcome to Spotlight Theatrix, a company based on the belief that every child should have their moment to shine. Our productions and classes are structured around helping build confidence within a child through the use Dramatic Arts. Whether it is singing, dancing or acting, we are here to provide a safe space for children.
One of the most obvious benefits of performing arts is the development of skills in self-presentation; learning how to present him or herself in front of an audience, be it big or small. Children develop the ability to converse with adults in a mature manner, to grow their self-esteem and self-confidence, poise and the ability to overcome anxieties. Here at Spotlight Theatrix, children will work with trained professionals, in all disciplines of the arts, to help nurture and discover their own creativity. This is all done through a series of thematic after school programs, original musicals and theatrical productions, vocal classes, drama classes and day camps. Each one geared towards a different type of student and learner. We hope to inspire a child’s love for the arts while at the same time enabling them to have their own personal moment to shine. We hope you will join us on our thematic journey through inner creative discovery.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
With Spotlight After School, students have the chance to exercise their mind in ways they never have before. We use dramatic and artistic methods to activate the minds of our students, and help them absorb all of the information presented. Learn and have fun all at the same time with Spotlight Theatrix.
Our production classes are designed solely with the student's abilities and interests in mind. The three program options let children of all ages, abilities and talents participate at their comfort level and provide them with a thorough understanding of many aspects of theatre. We want our students to keep an open mind, and have fun throughout their experience at Spotlight Theatrix.
Our evening classes provide kids with a more in-depth experience. With a focus on different parts of the arts, these classes offer kids a way to create their own stop-motion film, graphic novel and even compose new music.
Private voice lessons are offered in Music Theatre and other popular music genres and are open to anyone, not just cast members. Group classes for young children are also offered at various times.
